We build most of our websites on top of WordPress which helps us create beautiful websites in a very short space of time (typically 5 working days) and also makes them simpler to manage and keep secure.
WordPress is an open source project, which means that there are hundreds of people all over the world working on it (many more than most commercial platforms). It was born out of a desire for an elegant, well-architectured publishing system built on the popular PHP programming language and MySQL database engine. WordPress is used by more than 48% of the top million websites as of November 2014 and is one of the most popular Content Management Systems in use on the Internet, with more than 80 million websites using it.
In most cases we suggest that a premium stock template is used. These templates are a basis for your website and can be heavily tweaked and customised to meet your requirements. The use of a premium stock template will reduce the overall cost of the development significantly. We strive to never use the same template on any of our websites, making each one unique.
Alternatively if you would prefer a completely bespoke design this is also something we can provide.
Responsive Technology
The use of smartphones and tablets is expected to exceed the use of desktop PCs and laptops very soon. This is already the case for some websites. It is therefore important to ensure that that the best experience is offered to all users, irrespective of the device they are browsing your site on.
A responsive website design automatically adapts to the width of the device viewing it. This is usually achieved by the use of fluid, proportional-based grids, flexible images and intelligent styling.
